Some interesting and useful websites:
Writing
Words on the Line, by Phillip Vassallo.
Notes on effective writing at work, school, and home by Philip Vassallo, Ed.D. Unlike so many blogs, Phil has been updating his every week for years. Really good information for writers and aspiring writers.
Barking Planet Children's and YA Books, by Robert McCarty.
Bob keeps an up-to-date blog with interesting links to good, thoughtful writing. If you have a child, his book Planet of the Dogs is a must-read and makes a nice gift. His wife, Stella, illustrates many of his books.
The Cynic's Sanctuary, by Richard Bayan.
I've been a fan of Rick's for about two decades. He doesn't just have a rock in his shoe--he has a boulder in his boot. Hilarious missives, if you are a cynic like me. If nothing else, don't skip his quiz, Are YOU a Cynic?

I've been following Jack for years. Great guy. Funny. Smart. And talented. Check him out!

Andy Gilchrist was my guitar teacher for five years. Great guy, with a lot of patience.
Travel
Only Lyon
City of Lyon, France.
Bordeaux, France
World Heritage at the gates of the vineyard.
Strasbourg, France
Near the German border and by some accounts the most visited city in France other than Paris. Home of the European Parliament. Gutenberg lived here for awhile when he was developing his printing press. I first visited Strasbourg when I was 23 and serving in the U.S. Army right across the border in Germany.
International Greeters
These people are great! A local person shows you his/her city for two or three hours.
